Dive into the world of The Stolens, and remember, the biography is only the beginning…
Group One:
The Stolen children in Group One were taken by the Creators as infants, many of them less than a few weeks old. They never knew their real parents and were taught to speak, act and think according to the Creators selective instructions. Only 25 of these Stolen children survived the first six months at Headquarters, and even fewer survived the next 15 and a half years.
S13: Cody
Cody, also known as Thirteen by many of the Creators, is a sixteen-year-old boy with champagne coloured hair and bright green eyes. His tattoo, located under his left wrist, is marked as S13. He’s insightful and asks far too many questions. Cody has strong morals and values his friends and family above all else. Cody’s determination is often a cause for him getting into trouble but if he believes it’s the right thing to do, there’s nothing that can stop him. His favourite hobby is rock climbing.
S5: Max
Max, also known by the Creators as Five, is Cody’s best friend. He has a tattoo on his left wrist marking him as S5. Max is a tad taller than Cody and has wavy, chin length hair the colour of chocolate. His eyes are a deep sapphire blue. He has a kind heart and can be very diplomatic when facing conflicts. Though some may think he’s soft, if you hurt his friends he will jump in to protect them. Max is fiercely loyal to those that gain his trust. He also loves computers and technology.
Group Two:
This group of children were taken, ripped from their former lives, at age 11. The Creators, ever the vile and clever beings, used a pill to erase their memories and create the perfect vessels for their more advanced tests.
S20: Tasha/Ravelyn Kreston
Ravelyn is a girl of many names. The Creators call her Twenty, which is what she often prefers, though she occasionally uses Tasha, but Ravelyn is her birth name. She’s tall and fair with pale skin. She has long, straight, hair as black as the night sky. Her eyes are electric blue and piercing. She has a tattoo on her left wrist that says S20. She’s strong and fit but doesn’t look like a body-builder, more like a dedicated gym-goer. She wears tight jeans and standard t-shirts, and loves to gossip with the other girls in group 2. Ravelyn is a follower and likes routine. When the routine changes she is often agitated and can be stubborn to accept it.
The Creators:
These are the men and women of Headquarters who’ve dedicated their lives to ensuring their creations thrive, under their watchful eye. Meet the Scientists, hidden away in their labs. The Caretakers, who are assigned as the parental figures and guardians to each one of the Stolens. And, of course, get to know the Director and his closest advisors.
Headquarters Director: Santiago Crattello
Santiago is the Director of Headquarters. He’s stoic and dresses in white suits with a blue or grey tie and wears shiny black shoes. He always looks put together and calm, even if the situation is chaotic. Santiago’s eyes are a shadowy grey that conceal his emotion and sandy blonde hair a little bit shorter than Cody’s. He never carries a clipboard, he has workers for that.
Results Reporter: Zachary Olis
Zachary has a huge ego, though he keeps it in check around his boss, Santiago Crattello. He’s one of the smartest people at Headquarters and, though he is officially labelled as the Results Reporter, can often be found planning for future projects and consulting with Santiago about ideas he has for the other projects at Headquarters. Zachary will sometimes makes jokes that he knows people won’t understand, which makes him feel smart. He can be all smiles one minute and a sly fox the next. He always listens to his boss’ orders as he is the one man who has Zachary’s full respect.
Lab Worker: Derek Felton
Derek is a hard worker and a good listener. He prefers to have the lab to himself as he can get his work finished more efficiently that way. Derek is lab-smart, but not very people-smart and can be awkward is most every human interaction.
Caretaker Creator to S13/Cody: Lora
Lora is a woman of average height with curly brown hair to her shoulders. She’s responsible for teaching Cody the Headquarters standard education. She makes sure he’s obedient and passing or exceeding his tests. She keeps a stern expression and rarely, if ever, shows how she really feels. Her dark blue eyes can be a comforting ocean or a thundering storm and she firmly believes in her job as a Creator.
Caretaker Creator to S20/Ravelyn: Ren
Ren is a quiet man with short, light brown hair and blue eyes. He has a great smile and gets along well with pretty much everyone. He can fake his emotions exceptionally well and is an excellent liar. Ren has a dark side that is rarely seen but always present. He gets along with Ravelyn more like a big brother than a caretaker.
Master Chef: Ritsa
Ritsa is a kind older woman, often taking her creative flair and mixing it with the recipes she cooks up. Often, Ritsa will cook a dish with rhyming ingredients, just to make things interesting. She has silvery-grey hair that used to be red. She always has her hair in a short bun, often adorned with a silver clip to keep it out of her small, tender face. Her eyes are old sapphires, set deep in her wrinkled face.
Station B
Station B is a facility that works closely with Headquarters, but has a mission all its own. Meet some of the key workers that keep the place running.
Dessy Niray: The Director of Station B. Dr. Niray is a headstrong woman who has no problem giving orders, regardless of who she’s speaking to. She has a authority about her that keeps her employees on their toes. She waltzes through Station B in high black heels and a slim white lab coat. Her long black hair is clipped back to stay out of her deep brown eyes. When Dr. Niray opens her mouth to speak the entire room will stop to listen.
Station D:
A manufacturing facility and warehouse, nestled deep within a northern forest.
Joseph – A worker from Station D. He’s a small, flighty man with a slight addiction for coffee. He wears a deep red jumpsuit and carries his key card in his pocket at all times. His dark hair is short and messy, making him look as though he’s too busy to brush it back. His eyes are an intense dark brown. Joseph is timid and easy to sway, though he does his best at his job, and is secretly hoping for a promotion.
Outsiders:
The Outsiders are those who live among society, unknowing of the existence of Headquarters. These characters may or may not have important roles in the telling of The Stolens so their biographies will be brief. If you want to know more about them send me an email, but first, read the book!
Ace Kreston – The twin of Ravelyn Kreston. Ace is 19 years old. He’s got a mean streak and can often be found with his arms crossed. He’s fit, though a bit malnourished and not the most hygienic. He has electric green eyes with flecks of blue. He tends to wear black leather jackets with a red tshirt and jeans.
William Delasso – Father of Aria. William has short, sand coloured hair and deep green eyes. He often wears glasses when reading, which he does quite frequently.
Audrey Delasso – Mother of Aria, she has a petit frame, standing only 5 feet 2 inches tall. Her short red hair is straight and is more ruby than orange. Her eyes are bold and cloud grey.
Aria Delasso – A strawberry-blonde seven year old with gentle eyes the colour of emeralds.
Notable Others:
Harold Lido: Government Agent – Head of the task force that works under orders from Headquarters.
Kettai Farmer: A kind old man with a ragged grey beard and a baseball cap planted firmly on his head.
